We are open for routine dental treatment. Please call the practice for an appointment.
During the next months, we will be working through all the latest guidance to plan our strategy for Staple Hill Dental Practice returning to full patient care.
As you know supplies for the required Personal Protective Equipment has been a common topic in the news & media. PPE is there to protect our patients and our staff. We are determined to ensure that all patient care is delivered safely for all concerned, with the correct PPE.
We have all had to accept recent changes to our way of life and we will need to remain flexible over the coming months. There will be changes in the way we deliver dentistry as a result of restrictions & guidance for Infection Prevention & Control. We will be operating a triage-based appointment system. Urgent dental care is classed as pain, swelling, a broken tooth that is causing pain or cutting into your cheek or tongue, a broken denture or lost crown or bridge. We ask that you contact the practice with your name, date of birth, contact telephone number and the nature of your problem. Please leave a message on our answer system, if we are unable to answer the telephone. You will then be contacted by a member of the team.
We are operating a closed-door policy
Attending your appointment
Please brush your teeth and use a mouthwash if you have one just before leaving to attend your appointment.
We ask that you wear your own appropriate face covering in the practice.
Please do not arrive too early. This will help us maintain social distancing by avoiding a 'build-up' of patients within the practice.
Please do not bring anyone else into the practice with you unless necessary. Exceptions include a parent/guardian of children under 18 years old, or a carer.
Please bring as little belongings with you as possible i.e. no handbags, coats or shopping, this limits the risk of any contamination.
We have adjusted our waiting areas and spaced out appointments – so you can maintain safe social distancing. You must clean your hands using the antibacterial gel provided as soon as you enter the practice. You will be asked to sign your medical history form and Covid-19 form.
Our staff will also be wearing appropriate PPE to ensure your safety.
Plastic screens have been installed on our reception desks. Please try and maintain a 1m distance from the reception desk and avoid touching the screen.
Please go to the toilet before you attend the practice. The Patients bathrooms are still operational, but you must ask us before using, this will ensure we know the facilities have been used and can clean appropriately.
We will start to offer certain services as soon as we feel it is safe to do so, increasing provision of care to our patients over time.
We are grateful for your understanding and patience.
Thank you for your loyal support. Stay safe, kind regards, Staple Hill Dental Practice team.
We will provide emergency cover during normal working hours for all our patients. Please refer to opening times under contact and appointments.
Evenings and weekend emergency cover is only provided to Practice Plan and Private Patients.
If you are an NHS patient and require emergency treatment during the evening or weekend, please call NHS direct 111
Practice Plan patients are covered for emergencies under their dental plan. Private patients will incur a call out charge of £120
